Normal Reno weather during the conference
Average weather on March 11 is mostly sunny with a high of 57°F, low 30°F, 20% chance of light precipitation, and a 6% chance of snow on the ground. Weather averages for Reno on March 11-14.

Weather in Reno during the conference is usually cool and dry with no snow on the ground. Soil is usually dry on top with moisture underneath, but usually not enough to be muddy. Sometimes, there's a bit or rain or snow during the conference, but not much. Average highs are about 57°F, average lows are about 30 °
, with low to moderate relative humidity (the dew point is rarely reached, even at night). There has been no precipitation on March 11 in 8 of 10 years and only a bit of rain or snow in the other two (0.02 inches!) . Reno is typically dry because it’s in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada range—all the great snow at Tahoe is there because it never makes it to Reno.

Reno is high desert at 4,500' elevation. Ground vegetation is sparse, trees are desert species such as piñon and juniper, and bare soil is visible in most areas even in natural conditions. Soils can be muddy yet are seldom wet enough to be muddy.

Following is a summary of the weather on March 11 for the past 10 years from 2007 back through 1997.
