Stolen Equipment Alert

Between late Sunday, March 10 and early Monday, March 11, 2002, 5 pieces of equipment were stolen from the EBMUD Ranger Facility in Valley Springs, CA. The stolen white Ford F600 Dump Truck and a black 2-axle trailer used to transport the other stolen equipment were found near Winton Road in West Point, CA on Tuesday, March 12. The remaining 3 pieces of equipment are:

SWECO 450 Trail Dozer
Serial # SL450603
It has rippers, a 6-way blade, and a winch. It is 48" wide, 10' 8" long, 6' 4" high and weighs 7,800 lbs. It has a 56 HP Isuzu turbo diesel engine.

If you have any information please call the Calaveras Sheriffs Dept. at (209) 754-6500. The SWECO is used to build and maintain a 30-mile segment (18 miles are completed and open to the public on Camanche and Pardee Watersheds) of the proposed 300-mile Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail.
