Job Title: Maintenance Equipment Operator
Job Description: There is currently one (1) full time vacancy (75 hours biweekly) for a Maintenance Equipment Operator in Marin County Parks. Maintenance Equipment Operators independently perform a full range of maintenance work, including the use of small, medium and heavy equipment. Under the direction of the supervisor, this position will work on projects associated with the Marin County Open Space District’s Road and Trail Plan, from winter storm damage to routine maintenance. Incumbents operate a variety of maintenance tools and equipment to perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance work, and participate with other agencies in training in the use of Best Management Practices for sediment reduction. The incumbent in this position will work with team members within Marin County Parks, including seasonal staff and volunteers, on erosion control projects on fire roads, trails and in the development of park recreational facilities.
