Project Title: Request for Qualifications: Trail System Design/Build at Albert and Bessie Kronkosky State Natural Area, Texas

Project Description: The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is soliciting qualifications from professional trail builders to design and construct a trail system at Albert & Bessie Kronkosky State Natural Area (ABK SNA). ABK SNA is a new state natural area in TPWD’s system, located in the Texas Hill Country, between the towns of Boerne and Pipe Creek in Bandera and Kendall Counties. Approximately 20-25 miles of natural and improved surface trails which will include both bicycle and hiking uses, are proposed. The primary purpose of which is to provide an excellent outdoor experience for visitors with a range of abilities. The Project also includes design, procurement and installation of Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) or similar, bridges as a part of the trail system. Estimated cost of design and construction of trails - $2,000,000 Performance Period for design and construction of trails is twenty-four (24) months. ON-LINE NON-MANDATORY PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING: A Pre-Submittal Meeting will be held at 10;30 AM on March 19, 2024, via Microsoft Teams. Although the pre-submittal meeting is not mandatory, Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend as important information regarding Response requirements and the Project will be discussed. TPWD requests that each offeror SITE VISIT. A tour of the Site will be conducted at 1:00 PM on March 25, 2024. The physical address is 7690 Highway 46, West Pipe Creek, Texas 78063.
