Project Description: The City of Knoxville seeks to pre-qualify up to three (3) Bike Park Firms or Teams to provide professional services to finalize design plans; prepare stamped construction plans, specifications and details; and manage the construction of a mountain bike skills park as part of the Urban Wilderness Gateway Park Project at Baker Creek Preserve.

The design of the Baker Creek Bike Park will identify a range of bike park terrain features,
including progressive jumps, starting ramp, flow course, banks, and/or launch ramps. The park
should include graduated terrain to encourage skill development and offer off-road biking
opportunities from beginners to experts.

The bike park project budget is currently $650,000. All project costs should include design,
engineering, consultants, testing, materials, construction management and contingencies within
this budget amount.

Selected qualified Firms or Teams will be asked to prepare a proposal outlining a scope of
professional services in a RFP process. Proposal submittals will be required to include, but are
not limited to, the following information: Cover letter, organizational chart, list of previous bike
park projects, design/build strategy, project budget, timeline/schedule, warranty information, and
maintenance plan outline.
