Job Title: Machine Operator Level 2
Job Description: -Approximately 40 hours a week
-Monday through Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm.
-Seasonal mid-March through November 15th.
-Potentially Year Round Work
-PayScale based on experience.
-Starting Range $26/hr.
-Ending Range $32/hr.
Who We Are Looking For:
The Candidate for Highland Trails Machine Operator Level Two will have experience building and maintaining trails, equipment operation of excavators and skid steers, and have the ability to lead a group of Apprentice trail builders. Ability to ride all green, blue and black trails at the Bike Park a must. The role will include, but is not limited to:
-2 to 5 years building Freeride and Tech trails including rollers, berms and jumps.
-Operate machinery to build and maintain trails.
-Lead a team of apprentice trail builders.
-Ability to work and plan strategy with the team leaders / operators.
Skills Required
-Level One Journeyman.
-Ability to assess and manage water flow.
-Ability to act as a Project Lead and manage: Apprentice trail builders/ Level 1 Operators
-Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
-Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision.
-Must know how to safely use a chainsaw and cut large trees (Chainsaw Certifications Considered an Asset).
Highland Mountain trail knowledge is considered an asset.
