Project Title: Rehabilitation of the Rend Trail and Bridges: New River Gorge National Park and Preserve

Short Description (25-30 words): The Rend Trail extends 3.54 miles from the town of Minden to the old coal town of Newlyn on the Dunloup trailhead. This project will repair multiple deficiencies on the five Rend Trail bridges, repair trail surface tread and drainage elements, replace failing timber retaining walls with Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, provide an update to the trail treatment at the Big Rock, and enhance both trailheads for better user experience. The entire length of trail will be accessible for persons with disabilities.
