Below is a list of projects that have been submitted to the PTBA for bid. Please respond directly to the listing agency for further information or to submit your bid. The PTBA has no control or input into the contracting or solicitation of these projects. We list them strictly as a service to the trail industry.
RFP, Design/Build, Convert a Railroad Trestle into a Multi-Use Bridge in Covington, GA
The project is expected to consist of 3 Phases – (1.) Evaluation of the existing structure, (2.) Design of the proposed improvements, and (3.) Construction.
Dead Man’s Hollow Trail Development, Souther Allegheny County, PA
Project to construct and/or upgrade about 4.2 miles of natural surface, wooded trails at the Dead Man’s Hollow Conservation Area (DMH) in southern Allegheny County.
Superior Hiking Trail--Sawmill Creek Boardwalk
Project Description: The boardwalk crossing Sawmill Creek on the Superior Hiking Trail is failing and Dangerous! Replace it with a well designed and durable structure! The existing structure is 375'. New one would be of similar length, possibly a little longer.
Hazard Tree Removal Kinderhook, NY
Friends of Lindenwald (FOL), an educational, not-for-profit,
tax exempt organization, has received grant funding for hazard tree removal, including
those infested by the emerald ash borer (EAB). As a result, FOL is seeking to remove
31 trees.
Duluth Traverse Trail System - 2020 COGGS Club Bid
Project Description: A total of five construction projects ranging from short (+/- 0.1 mile) green flow trail singletrack to +/- 2.0 mile black traditional singletrack. Total project length is roughly 4.3 miles.

Project Title: Portland Arch Nature Preserve Trail Structures
Shelden Trails Development and Construction (Phase 1)
Project Description: Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority (HCMA) is requesting proposals from qualified, professional vendors for construction of natural surface trails at Stony Creek Metropark, located in Shelby Township, Michigan.
Baileys Trail System, OH
Project scope includes the development of 88 miles of purpose build mountain bike trails. This RFQ will exclusively qualify interested contractors for the duration of the anticipated project build, through 2022.
Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council, Oak Ridge, OR
Project Title: Coal Creek Trail Construction
