2022 Conference COVID Policy

PTBA is committed to a safe event. We have worked with local partners, the PTBA board of directors, and other conference organizers to create the following policy that reflects best practice at this time. We may update these policies as the pandemic landscape continues to evolve.

Updated 3.1.22

1 - Based on CDC public health information, masks will be optional at PTBA events. The CDC posts COVID-19 Community Levels as a tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Benton County, AR is listed as a level medium, which does not include a recommendation for masks, except for people who are immunocompromised, at high risk for severe illness, or if you live at someone at high risk. We will have masks on site for attendees who wish to have them.

2 - All attendees are required to show proof of one of the following at registration, or you can upload your information prior to the event through this google form.
1. Completed COVID-19 vaccine series (proof of booster not required)
2. A negative PCR or antigen test for COVID-19 conducted no earlier than three days before the Conference begins.
3. Official 'letter of recovery" from a licensed physician or health official (see CDC description)

3 - All attendees are encouraged to social distance throughout the conference. PTBA has purposefully planned the agenda, selected venues, and is managing site capacities to allow for social distancing. Because the conference is held throughout downtown Bentonville, there will be no cramped hallways to navigate between sessions - just an outdoor walk. Our keynote sessions and social events that aim to bring together all attendees will be held outdoors and/or with outdoor options.

4 - If you have COVID symptoms, please stay home. We have expanded our refund window to one week of the conference; however, if you have COVID symptoms or a positive COVID test, we will refund your registration up to the day of the event. We will have thermometers on site.

5- All attendees are encouraged to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer throughout the event. All attendees will receive a small personal container of hand sanitizer.
