Downtown Bentonville

The 2022 Sustainable Trails Conference will be in multiple venues downtown - an Unconventional Convention. Our conference headquarters will be at Tucker’s Field (NEW) and will be home to registration, breakfast/coffee, happy hour, and the Trail Expo! Tucker's Field is the perfect PTBA HQ - we can enjoy the open air, stay protected from the elements with tents, and have plenty of space to network with other trail professionals and vendors in the Trail Expo!
Concurrent sessions will be in spaces that surround the historic town square including the The Record North, Meteor Guitar Gallery, the Walmart World Room, Compton Gardens, the HUB Bike Lounge, and the Arvest Conference Center. Participants will walk around town in the open air as they move from session to session.
From downtown, you can access the Slaughter Pen MTB Trails (16 miles) and the extensive greenway system, starting with the Crystal Rivers Greenway.

In Bentonville, you have options - from cozy bed and breakfasts to the chain hotels and Airbnbs.

Camping
Camp at Coler MTB Preserve - The Coler Campground offers 17 hike-in tent sites on elevated, wooden platforms and 5 van sites, year-round. Coler MTB Preserve has 17 miles of MTB trails - and is accessible to downtown via trail and greenway (so you could bike to the conference!). Note: no trailers or RV’s allowed.
Blowing Springs Campground - Less than 10 miles from downtown Bentonville. RV and tent options!
Getting around town
Since we are doing an Unconventional Convention, we don’t have a hotel where everything is in one place. One of the downsides is that the majority of the lodging is 2-3 miles from downtown (where all the conference activities will be). There are a few options for getting around town:
-Rent a bike - there are bike paths that connect the hotels with downtown
-Car travel (rent or driving your own) - we will identify parking areas downtown to minimize the hassle of commuting
-Rent an Air BNB downtown - and then you won’t have to commute
-Stay in a hotel with a downtown shuttle
-Rely on Lyft or Uber for your daily commute
