Project Description: The Friends of Gateway Green (FoGG) is a non-profit organization based in Portland, OR, with a mission to promote the transformation of the Gateway Green site from an under-used, neglected, publicly-owned property into a regional asset that provides open space and recreational opportunities, and improves access to both, while demonstrating Portland's and Oregon's commitment to sustainability, and to participate in the operation and management of the site, once developed.
FoGG desires to construct a mountain bicycle skills area (“Dirt Lab”) to compliment the recently constructed singletrack trails and to-be-constructed dirt jumps. The Dirt Lab will consist of trails, routes, armoring, berms, jumps, drops, minor earthworks, and several pre-fabricated riding structures. The riding structures will be installed by another contractor but in close coordination with the contractor selected to develop the Dirt Lab.
