Landscape Specialist will be responsible for performing trail maintenance, construction, trail re-routes, and re-builds, to trail uses ranging from hiking, mountain biking, equestrian to multi-use.
Typical trail maintenance includes corridor maintenance and clearing, installing signage, tread repairs, chainsaw work and other duties to keep trails accessible and safe for Park visitors and staff.
Other projects can require some technical knowledge in carpentry, rock work and retaining walls, wooden bridges to different methods of erosion control.
This position offers a full benefit package including paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance and retirement pension. Statewide travel with overnight stay is required weekly. A valid driver’s license is required. A driver’s record check will be performed.
Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus three years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or a related field, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
