Project Description: SCOPE OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF ITEM The Trail and Bike Contractor will be responsible for building a multi-use mountain bike 3-mile trail and a 3-mile pedestrian walking trail within Camp Jordan Park on the city-owned 55 acres located north of and adjacent to Camp Jordan Park. The contractor shall be responsible for requesting and obtaining all necessary project permitting, providing all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to perform the services of this project. The contractor will also need to locate, flag, and provide an “as-built” site plan for the project. Trail and bike routes will need to be at least 10 feet wide. The project must be completed within 180 days upon the issuance of a notice to proceed by the city. Proposed development includes using best management practices to avoid protected plant species habitat and wetlands in building multiple walking and biking trails. This project must include at least one trail that will connect to the existing South Chickamauga Creek Greenway.

Additional Project Bid Information: The City of East Ridge is seeking bids for a design-build project for construction of a multi-use mountain bike and a pedestrian trail within Camp Jordan Park on the 55-acre parcel adjacent to Camp Jordan Park located in East Ridge, Tennessee. To be considered for this contract, interested parties must submit sealed bids on or before 2:30 pm, EDT, Wednesday April 17, 2024. INSTRUCTIONS FOR BID SUBMISSIONS All sealed bids must be submitted to the city clearly marked “Camp Jordan Trail System 4/17/24” on the sealed bid envelope. Any interpretations, clarifications, or additional information not disclosed in this bid packet and determined to be necessary by the City in response to questions, will be issued by means of addendum or addenda, which addendum or addenda will be posted to the City website, https://www.eastridgetn.gov/business_economic_dev.html, to all interested parties identified by the City as having received the bid documents. The Bidder is required to check the site to see if there has been any addendum or addenda posted for this Bid.
